International Consultant, Gender and Health
Gender equality and social inclusion are fundamental to the health and well being of families and communities. Shelah Bloom is passionate about improving health outcomes by addressing gender inequality and social exclusion. Her work is backed by more than twenty-five years of experience in the fields of gender and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV and AIDS, maternal health, and more than 15 years of experience in gender-based violence (GBV).
Shelah’s work in Africa and Asia focuses on improving the health and well-being of people, families, and communities. She collaborates with UN/EU and other multilateral and bilateral organizations, as well as government, non-government, and civil society organizations to develop and implement gender transformative approaches in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), qualitative/mixed methods formative research and program evaluation, and training and capacity building.
